We only taklik or naqal the saying of Ulama’, even me myself, I’m not capable to voice out my own opinion. Even if we have phd, no, we cannot beat the greatness of the 4 imam mazhab.

‘we must follow Quran and hadith’ its like saying that imam shafie ra didn’t follow Quran and hadith. Its wrong, dangerous its fitnah.

if we wanna learn, we must try to search for the teacher that has sanad ilm reach to imam shafie ra or other imam, and sanad ilm of the 4 imam reach rasulullah saw for sure.

in our time, we  have some groups of people that wanna make research upon hadith, want to tashih back the hadith that has been use among our community whether its real sahih or maudu’. dont they have other work to do?

what has been given by the ulama of the past, we take. thats enough. dont overdo it.

in time of imam nawawi ra, there were some issues saying that if after this time(the time of imam nawawi ra) will it be some other people that capable to be ulama that can do tashih and tadhiftan a certain hadith? Ibn solah ra with his opinion said, there will be NO one can do tashih and tadhiftan hadith after the time of imam nawawi ra.

because we live too far from their time. Let alone to re-fix hadith whether its sahih or not. We only can accept the ilm comes from ulama(sanad ilm).

and then imam nawawi ra answered, yes. But the person should be great as equal as the imam of the past.

so lets look, in our time, who has that kinda greatness? Even ulama in charge to issue fatwa still refer to Kitab ulama of the past. So there’s NONE of among ulama in this time as great as the 4 imam mazhab.

may we as the followers of imam mazhab shafie ra can get syafaat from Imam shafie ra because we follow his mazhab.
